Britcher Leone Adds Two, Opens Morristown Office
Tyrone Sergio and Stephen “Skippy” Weinstein, formerly of Weinstein's Morristown firm, joined Glen Rock-based Britcher Leone in the firm's new Morristown office at 100 East Hanover Road, the firm announced. Sergio, a partner, will head the office; Weinstein joined as of counsel. Sergio handles personal injury and medical malpractice. He previously practiced at a New York City firm and was a trial preparation assistant in the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor in New York City. He earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and his B.A. from Villanova University. He is admitted in New Jersey and New York, and is a member of the New Jersey Association for Justice, the New Jersey State Bar Association, and other professional groups. Weinstein handles wrongful death, serious personal injury, brain injury, birth injury, product liability, construction accidents, automobile accidents, and slip-and-fall accidents. He also has handled all aspects of
criminal litigation and has tried to verdict more than a dozen murder cases, according to the announcement. Weinstein is a frequent lecturer at the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education on topics involving demonstrative evidence, no-fault insurance, medical malpractice, wrongful death and personal injury cases. He is admitted in New Jersey, New York and the District of Columbia. He earned his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law and his B.S. from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Sills Cummis & Gross in Newark promoted Jason L. Sobel and William R. Tellado to partner, and Cecilia I. Lassiter to of counsel, as of Oct. 1.
Sobel focuses his practice on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including complex acquisitions, sales, financing, leasing and development projects. He also handles day-to-day business law and contract-related matters. He is admitted in New Jersey and New York. He received his J.D. from Rutgers Law School–Newark and his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
