Giordano Halleran Welcomes Partner Goldenberg
Energy and public utility attorney Steven S. Goldenberg joined Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla in Red Bank as a partner. He will handle public-private partnerships, microgrid and co-generation projects, and look to leverage the firm's experience in environmental, real estate, land use, construction, government procurement and redevelopment law, the firm said. Goldenberg has played a leading role in representing a variety of clients before the Board of Public Utilities on restructuring of the electric and natural gas industries, utility rates, utility mergers, energy infrastructure proceedings, and regulatory issues that impact ratepayers. Goldenberg founded and represents the New Jersey Large Energy Users Coalition and the New Jersey Distributed Generation Coalition. He is also a registered lobbyist and represents clients in energy and procurement matters before the Legislature, Governor's Office and state agencies.
|Marcus Joins Marshall Dennehey as Special Counsel
Medical malpractice defense litigator Debra M. Marcus, previously a name partner at Schnecher Marcus in Springfield, joined the Roseland office of Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin as special counsel in the health care department. She represents health-care professionals in defense of malpractice claims, licensing matters, and purchase and sales of practices. She has defended hundreds of dentists and has represented them and other licensed health-care professionals before multiple state boards, according to an announcement. She has also defended doctors audited by state regulators and carriers. Marcus graduated from Boston University and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, and is admitted in New Jersey state and federal courts.
|Associate Schwimmer Joins Flaster Greenberg
Flaster Greenberg brought on Lauren N. Schwimmer to the Philadelphia and Cherry Hill offices as an associate in the business and corporate, and aviation law departments. She represents corporations, airports, individuals and financial institutions in corporate, transactional and M&A matters, and she has additional experience in aviation law, banking law, and bankruptcy. Schwimmer previously worked as an associate at Weir & Partners. She earned her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and her B.S.B.A and B.S. from the University of Florida. She is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and the U.S. district courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, and the District of New Jersey.
|Pashman Stein Brings On Associate McGuire
Dillon J. McGuire joined Pashman Stein Walder Hayden in Hackensack as an associate in the criminal defense, and governmental and internal investigations practices. He earned his J.D. magna cum laude from Rutgers Law School, and his B.S. from Rutgers University. He clerked for Bergen County Superior Court Judge Margaret M. Foti and for Appellate Division Judge Robert J. Gilson. Managing partner Michael Stein said in a statement that McGuire “is a bright, young talent and we welcome him to our firm,” adding, “With his recent experience as a judicial law clerk, Dillon will be an asset to our trial and appellate matters.”
|Eckert Seamans Welcomes Former Prosecutor Oakley to Princeton
Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott welcomed Ian Oakley as a litigation associate in its Princeton office. He previously served as an assistant district attorney for the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office in the family violence and sexual assault unit, successfully prosecuting domestic assault and child sexual abuse cases and serving as lead counsel on several jury trials and various other proceedings. At Eckert Seamans, he handles business and commercial litigation, products liability, negligence, and premises liability, including slips-and-falls in stores, hotels, and residences; automobile accidents; workplace injuries; and contract disputes. He graduated from the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law in 2016 and from King's College, cum laude, in 2013.

Ross Wagner joined Wong Fleming in Princeton as an associate. He concentrates his practice in commercial litigation, insurance defense and coverage, and employment and labor law. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania. He earned a B.S. from the University of Maryland in 2013 and a J.D. from Rutgers Law School in 2017. Prior to joining Wong Fleming, he served as law clerk to Superior Court Judge James Den Uyl.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
