Helmer Conley Adds Two Former Prosecutors

Helmer, Conley & Kasselman in Haddon Heights added two attorneys as of counsel.

Diane M. Ruberton  previously was first assistant prosecutor and acting prosecutor for the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, where she spent 19 years. At Helmer Conley, Ruberton will concentrate in criminal law and work in the firm's Vineland office, the firm said.

Joel H. Aronow joined from a civil litigation law firm. He previously served in the Camden County Prosecutor Office's Special Prosecution Unit. At Helmer Conley, he will focus on litigation and criminal matters in the firm's Trenton office, the firm said.

Victoria “Torie” Friedrich and Monica Babula joined Pashman Stein Walder Hayden in Hackensack as associates in the trusts and estates and elder law group. Friedrich handles estate administration, including probate and administration practice, asset marshaling, debt negotiation, asset valuation, preparation of federal and state estate tax returns, and informal settlement of estates. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Pace University School of Law, and her B.S. from Rutgers University in Newark. During law school, Friedrich interned at the Bergen County Surrogates Court and the Law Offices of Bart A. Chase, and clerked at the Law Offices of Edward M. Eustace. She previously was an associate with Joseph H. Gruner, P.C. Babula, previously an attorney with the Hudson County Surrogate's Office, earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and her B.A. from The College of New Jersey. During law school, she interned for U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Rosemary Gambardella and for the Hudson County Surrogate's Office. She also clerked for Superior Court Judges Marybeth Rogers and Barry P.
