Troiano to Chair Criminal Practice Group at Einhorn Harris
Former Morris County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Matthew James Troiano joined as counsel at Einhorn, Harris, Ascher, Barbarito & Frost in Denville, where he will chair the criminal practice group. Troiano has been a prosecutor since 2006, and with the Morris County Prosecutor's Office since 2011. He successfully tried jury trials in New Jersey Superior Court and appeared before the Appellate Division, the firm said. He is a Certified Criminal Trial Attorney. Troiano received his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, and his B.A. in criminal justice from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. After law school, Troiano clerked for Essex Count Superior Court Judge Michael R. Casale . “Having spent over a decade involved in criminal investigations and prosecutions, I have seen firsthand what it takes to build a successful case and can offer advice and insight as to how to navigate the criminal process,” Troiano said in a statement released by the firm. “I am here to help those who may be the subject of an investigation, under arrest, or going through a serious ordeal that requires knowledge of the criminal justice system.”Kelly Named Partner at Meyner and Landis
Catherine Pastrikos Kelly of Meyner and Landis in Newark was named a partner in the firm's litigation department. She focuses on business litigation and complex commercial litigation matters covering a wide range of industries. She is an experienced attorney who practices in all forums, including state and federal courts and arbitration tribunals around the country in cases involving business matters, the firm noted in an announcement. Kelly joined Meyner and Landis as an associate in January 2016.
Dockery Joins Becker & Poliakoff in Morristown
Becker & Poliakoff in Morristown added David L. Dockery as an associate on Nov. 26, 2018, the firm announced, noting that Dockery has more than 10 years' experience representing community associations in New Jersey and New York. He has litigated cases involving collections, foreclosure, eviction, and bankruptcy, as well as defense of community associations in lawsuits initiated by owners, and appellate practice. Dockery previously was with Griffin Alexander. He earned his J.D. from New York Law School, and his M.A. and B.A. from the University of Michigan.
Norris McLaughlin Welcomes Cheung as Associate
Doris Cheung Norris McLaughlin itigation practice group. She handles complex insurance fraud and health-care litigation, including anti-kickback laws, anti-money laundering, and improper licensing regulations. Cheung has experience defending private and public entities in employment law and education matters. She earned her J.D. in 2011 from Rutgers Law School-Newark and her B.S. from Cornell University. During law school, she served as a clinical student in the Child Advocacy Clinic and the Urban Legal Clinic, counseling juvenile clients. She clerked for L egal Services of New Jersey , assisting counsel in legal research and community outreach. After graduating, she clerked for Union County Superior Court Judge Kathryn A. Brock in the Family Part.

Driscoll from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr have stepped in to represent Symbotic Inc., an A.I.-enabled technology platform that focuses on increasing supply chain efficiency, and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

Edmund Polubinski and Marie Killmond of Davis Polk & Wardwell have entered appearances for data platform software development company MongoDB and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The suit was filed Sept. 7 in Wisconsin Western District Court by Levine Eisberner LLC and Siri & Glimstad on behalf of a project manager who claims that he was wrongfully terminated after applying for a religious exemption to the defendant's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
