A dozen articles in the latest edition of the NJSBA's award-winning magazine look at the many ways the law and social media intersect.

Articles cover emoticons and emojis, to the use of social media in preparation for trial, to what happens to emails, to social media and an examination of the nation's first tweeter-in-chief. Additional articles dig into practical issues including a guide to the competing obligations under the New Jersey anti-bullying bill of rights and the First Amendment; what employers need to know about social media; online malpractice and ethics; and best practices for online reputation management.

“From employment law to criminal law, the rise of and reliance on social media and the internet has affected the legal universe as much as the technology has affected daily life,” noted special editors Nancy Del Pizzo and Michael Schaff. “We hope this edition… illuminates the ways technology continues to affect the law, how the law intends to keep pace, and how attorneys practice in this ever-changing environment.”
