Hill Wallack Attorneys Support Hispanic Bar Association Gala

The Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey held its 38th Annual Scholarship Gala and Awards Dinner on Saturday, June 22 at the Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains. The event included networking, a cocktail hour, silent auction, and the presentation of $52,000 in scholarships to law students and students from the American Dream High School Pipeline Programs. President Julia Lopez also announced the creation of the HBA endowment with a startup check for $50,000. Hill Wallack family law partner Albertina Webb, vice president of the southern region for the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey, and the firm, support the organization in promoting diversity and inclusion in the legal community, the firm said in a release.

On June 20  a team of 13 Drinker Biddle & Reath lawyers and staff from the firm's Florham Park office volunteered for Morris Habitat for Humanity. Since beginning in 1985, the nonprofit organization has served more than 400 households through home ownership opportunities, home preservation, and home building programs throughout Morris County, according to a release.

On June 3 the Women Lawyers in Bergen hosted their annual dinner meeting and installation of officers, with retired New Jersey Superior Court Judge Ronny Jo Siegal appearing as keynote speaker. The event was held at The Stony Hill Inn in Hackensack. For more than 40 years The Women Lawyers in Bergen has been advocating for the advancement of women in the legal profession, the organization noted.
