New Jersey-based health care company Cantel Medical Corp. has tapped one of its in-house attorneys to step up and serve as general counsel after the firm's longtime top lawyer retires later this month.
Eric Nodiff, executive vice president, GC and secretary, is slated to retire July 31 after 32 years with the company, headquartered in Little Falls. Jeff Mann, the company's deputy general counsel and vice president, will take over as Nodiff's successor on Aug. 1.
Cantel provides infection-prevention products and specializes in endoscopy, water filtration and disposable health care products, such as face masks and plastic cups. The company's chairman of the board, Charles Diker, said in a written statement that Nodiff “worked tirelessly for all of our stakeholders and in the best interest of Cantel. He leaves a more resilient company, positioning us well for the future.”
Diker added that Nodiff has been working with Mann since he joined the company last year to “position him as a key counselor and contributor to the Board, ensuring a seamless transition following Eric's retirement.”
Nodiff and Mann declined to comment, according to a spokeswoman for Cantel.
Nodiff was a partner at Dornbush Schaeffer Strongin & Venaglia for 17 years before he joined Cantel in 2005. He is a graduate of the Hofstra University School of Law and serves as the founder and president of the Giving Circle of Lower Westchester Inc., a not-for-profit organization that helps hunger relief groups, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Mann spent nearly 14 years as an in-house lawyer for Boston Scientific before he joined Cantel, where he will soon be responsible for overseeing and supervising the company's legal and compliance matters. Over the past year, he has overseen legal issues related to the firm's domestic commercial operations.
After graduating from Boston College Law School in 1999, Mann began his career as an associate at Palmer & Dodge, which is now Locke Lord Edwards, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Cantel president and CEO George Fotiades described Mann as a “values-driven leader who has an impressive track record and demonstrated strong leadership skills over the past year by providing strategic counsel on a wide range of legal matters, helping to ensure that Cantel is best equipped to meet our business objectives.”
