New lawyers: Join an NJSBA focus group, share your challenges about the profession, what you need to succeed

The New Jersey State Bar Association is working to help attorneys new to the profession succeed, given all the unique challenges they face. To that end, the NJSBA is teaming up with Fairleigh Dickinson University to conduct a survey of the needs and challenges facing lawyers in their first 10 years of practice.

The focus groups will be held Aug. 13 at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick, Aug. 14 at Archer and Greiner in Haddonfield, and Aug. 15 at Chiesa, Shahinian and Giantomasi in West Orange.

Attendees will be asked to talk about why they became attorneys, what the experience has been like so far, what keeps them up at night, how they prefer to work and interact with their peers, and how associations can provide more assistance to help them achieve their personal and professional goals.

Participants do not need to be members of the NJSBA. All attendees will receive either free membership in an NJSBA section and/or a free New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education webinar enrollment.
