Sills Cummis Adds Associate Badami
Sills Cummis & Gross brought on Pavitra Badami as an associate in the family law practice group in Newark. She focuses on litigation and mediation of complex matrimonial issues, including child custody, relocation, emancipation, child support, alimony, equitable distribution of assets, asset valuation and protection, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, and post-divorce litigation. She served as a law clerk to Superior Court Judge Maritza Berdote Byrne. During law school, Badami was an intern at the Office of the Attorney General, Department of Children and Families, Division of Child Protection and Permanency, and served as a judicial intern to Superior Court Judges Stephen Bernstein and Linda Cavanaugh. She received her J.D. from Rutgers Law School in Newark in 2016 and her B.A. from Rutgers University in 2011. Badami is admitted to practice in New Jersey.
|Riker Danzig Welcomes Associate Lombardo
Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti welcomed associate Anthony K. Lombardo to thelitigation group in Morristown. Lombardo was a Riker Danzig summer associate in 2018. He received his J.D. degree in 2019 from Fordham University School of Law, where he was the notes & articles editor of the Fordham Environmental Law Review. Lombardo graduated from the University of Scranton in 2015. During law school, Lombardo was a pro bono scholar and a yearlong member of Fordham’s Criminal Defense Clinic. He served as a legal intern for Judge John K. Sherwood of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey, and for Justice Gerald Lebovits of the New York State Supreme Court.
New Office For Lawrence Law

Berkowitz Lichtstein Adds One, Promotes One
Lisa M. Stern has been elevated from counsel to partner at Berkowitz, Lichtstein, Kuritsky, Giasullo & Gross in Roseland. She is a member of the trusts and estates practice. Stern jointed BLKGG after 15 years with New York’s Proskauer Rose. Her practice includes all aspects of estate planning, estate administration, and trust and estate-related litigation for clients primarily located in the tri-state area.
William F. Healey has also joined the firm as counsel in the trusts and estates practice. He focuses on estate planning, trust and estate administration and business succession planning, with concentrations in special needs and disability planning, and representing charitable organizations. He was formerly counsel at Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi.
Schiller Named Vice Chair of Greenbaum Rowe Real Estate Department
Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis announced that Matthew J. Schiller was named vice chair of the firm’s real estate department as of Aug. 1. Schiller concentrates on commercial real estate law, handling transactional, zoning, redevelopment, taxation and litigation matters throughout New Jersey, New York and Connecticut, with a recent focus on properties located in “Opportunity Zones.” He joins Thomas J. Denitzio Jr. and Jack Fersko, the department’s co-chairs, in the leadership of the practice group. “Matt is a seasoned young attorney and has been a valuable asset to our firm since coming on board as a partner in 2015,” Fersko said in a statement. Denitzio added that Schiller’s new role “is well suited to Matt’s growing prominence among the ‘next generation’ of leaders in the commercial real estate field.” Schiller said: “I look forward to working side-by-side with Jack, Tom and everyone on our real estate team as we continue to serve our clients and further expand Greenbaum’s dynamic real estate practice.”
