Members of Mandelbaum Salsburg's "Team Mandelbaum" charity committee joined hundreds of volunteers at the National Council of Jewish Women/Essex's "Back to School Store," the firm said in a release. The annual event allows Essex County children in financial need to "shop" for free clothing, sneakers and school supplies in a one-day "store" in Livingston. Assisted by NCJW/Essex volunteer personal shoppers, each child is escorted through the space to select items in their favorite colors and styles. Each child also receives school supplies and books, as well as personal care items. All of the merchandise is new and purchased by NCJW/Essex through philanthropic and sponsorship funds, the release said.
|Flaster's Riesenburger Appointed to NJ Site Remediation Committee
Franklin Riesenburger , a partner in Flaster Greenberg 's environmental and real estate law departments in Cherry Hill, was appointed to a New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professionals Association committee: the Committee for Procedural and Regulatory Questions Regarding the Remediation of Contaminants of Emerging Concern. Riesenburger is to provide expertise regarding chemical PFAs and other potentially hazardous contaminants to educate licensed site remediation professionals on their dangers, and provide recommendations for dealing with current issues. He and other committee members may also participate in future stakeholder efforts undertaken by the state Department of Environmental Protection to develop guidance on these issues, the firm said in a release. The ad hoc committee consists of nine people, of which Riesenburger is the only attorney, the firm noted. The LSRPA is a nonprofit professional membership organization established in 2009 to provide information, education and technical resources to licensed site remediation planners, other professionals involved in environmental remediation in New Jersey, and students pursuing an education in a discipline related to environmental remediation. In his practice, Riesenburger has represented clients in environmental litigation and regulation, environmental permitting, and commercial transactions for more than 40 years. He actively speaks and writes on the dangers and environmental considerations surrounding environmental contaminants.
