Katherine Jarve Promoted to Partner
Personal injury and medical malpractice attorney Katherine Jarve has been elevated to partner at Jarve Kaplan Granato Starr in Marlton. She was admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania in 2013 but began her career with the firm in 2006, working summers as an intern while she was an undergraduate student. She continued her employment with the firm as a part-time law clerk during law school. Jarve also interned with Cumberland County Superior Court Judge Georgia M. Curio in 2012. She received her undergraduate degree in business administration from Saint Joseph's University in 2010. Jarve went on to attend the Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware, earning her J.D. in May 2013. During law school, Kati also attended the Universite de Lausanne, Switzerland, where she studied International Law.
|Goldberg Segalla Hires Special Counsel Priya Patel
Goldberg Segalla added special counsel Priya P. Patel to the workers' compensation group in Newark. Patel was previously with Malapero, Prisco & Klauber in New York. Patel represents insurers, self-insured employers, and third-party administrators in workers' compensation matters in pretrial and trial proceedings throughout New Jersey and New York, the firm said. Patel handles matters from inception through resolution, including conducting depositions, settlement negotiations, and preparation of petitions and motions, and handling appeals before the Board Panel and Appellate Division, the firm said. Patel earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business and her J.D. at Rutgers Law School.

Genova Burns Welcomes Nine Associates
Genova Burns announced the addition of nine associates in the Newark office. The associates are joining various practices, including labor law, the firm said in a release, noting what it called its ongoing commitment to diversity in the law profession. "The firm remains committed to expanding our staff of legal experts in a way that assists us in meeting and exceeding client expectations," managing partner and chairman Angelo Genova said in a statement. "This latest round of new associates represents a number of law specialties where we see the greatest client need, while also reinforcing our desire to move away from the stereotypical law firm and provide the most diverse team of knowledgeable and dedicated attorneys in the region."
Mohamed Barry (Rutgers Law School, 2015) joined the labor law practice group following his service as a deputy attorney general in the Office of the Attorney General in Newark.
Eric D. Engelman (Fordham Law, 2015) joined the labor law practice group, representing management in all aspects of labor relations, including arbitration and collective bargaining. He previously was assistant general counsel in the New York City Office of Labor Relations.
Latiqua M. Liles (Rutgers Law School, 2018) joined the employment law practice group following her most recent experience as a judicial law clerk and court-certified mediator for the Essex County Superior Court.
Young-Ji Park (Rutgers Law School, 2010) joined the commercial and business transactional law group from the New York-based Local Initiatives Support Corporation, where she most recently served as associate general counsel.
Daniel Pierre (Rutgers Law School, 2015) joined the labor law practice group following service as a deputy attorney general in the Office of the Attorney General in Trenton.
Sharina Rodriguez (Rutgers Law School, 2019) joined the employment law and litigation practice after working as a paralegal at a firm specializing in criminal defense and municipal court matters.
Leonard S. Spinelli (Brooklyn Law School, 2009) joined the labor law and employment law and litigation practice groups following time as deputy attorney general in New Jersey's Employment Litigation Section, now known as State Police, Employment and Corrections.
Saher Tariq (Rutgers Law School, 2018) joined the commercial real estate and redevelopment practice group following time as a law clerk specializing in real estate closings, contracts, easements, lease renewals, and hold harmless agreements, among others.
Christopher Zamlout (Pace University's Elisabeth Haub School of Law, 2018) joined the firm's commercial litigation practice group after working as judicial law clerk for Superior Court Judge David B. Katz.
|Saiber Welcomes Two New Associates
Saiber welcomed Cynthia M. Vera and Catherine Soliman as associates in Florham Park.
Vera joins the firm after completing a clerkship for Judge Greta Gooden Brown of the Appellate Division. She received her B.S. from Rutgers University in 2012 (cum laude) and her J.D. from Seton Hall University in 2018, where she served as an editor of the Seton Hall Law Review.
Soliman joins the firm after completing a clerkship for Judge Scott J.
Moynihan of the Appellate Division. She received her B.A. from Seton Hall University in 2015 (summa cum laude) and her J.D. from Seton Hall University in 2018 (cum laude), where she served as the managing editor of the Seton Hall Law Review.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
