Wilentz Goldman & Spitzer Celebrates 100th Anniversary
Wilentz Goldman & Spitzer celebrated its 100 th anniversary with a gala reception held for the firm's clients, attorneys, alumni and friends on Thursday, Oct. 3 at the New Brunswick Performing Art Center, which first opened only a few weeks earlier. More than 300 guests attended the centennial gala to commemorate the impact and contribution of the firm in jurisprudence and in civic areas, including public service, academia and the greater community, the firm said in an announcement. Remarks were delivered by Brian J. Molloy, the firm's managing partner, Lisa A. Gorab, assistant managing partner, and New Brunswick Mayor Jim Cahill, highlighting the firm's Middlesex County roots, modest beginnings in 1919 by founder David T. Wilentz, and growing from three lawyers to more than 100 lawyers with offices in three states, according to the announcement. |
Two Norris Attorneys Speak on Electronically Stored Information
Margaret Raymond-Flood , a partner with at Norris McLaughlin in Bridgewater, and Nicholas A. Duston , an associate at the firm, presented "ESI: Where Technology Meets the Law" on Oct. 17 at the Mercer County Bar Association's 2019 "Xtreme CLE" at Mercer County Community College in West Windsor Township. The full-day event offered three courses within six sessions, and included breakfast, lunch and dinner. Multiple topics were discussed, including real estate, attorney discipline, business valuations, commercial loans, civil arbitration, municipal law, workers' compensation, estate administration, family law and more, according to a firm release. "The impact of the federal and state court rules presents certain obligations on attorneys and corporate clients regarding ESI which impact litigation strategy. Those obligations should also be an important consideration for companies when considering corporate protocols and policies related to electronic information," said Raymond-Flood in a statement. She is chair of the firm's Response to Electronic Discovery and Information group, an interdisciplinary team that helps clients with the identification, preservation, collection, review, and production of electronically stored information. She earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1991 and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Seton Hall University in 1988.
