This year's list of the largest law firms and branch offices in New Jersey includes 105 offices with a total of 5,506 lawyers. Each of the offices has more than 20 lawyers, according to the Law Journal's data—gathered using the Law Journal's annual law firms surveys, reports from ALM Legal Intelligence (our affiliate data group that helps immensely with this and many projects across the ALM chain), correspondence with law firm leaders and law firm websites. Attorney counts are in full-time equivalents where that information was available. Some notable law firms with a physical presence in New Jersey that are not listed here are: Gordon & Rees (20 lawyers located in the state); Ballard Spahr, Pellettieri, Rabstein & Altman and Proskauer Rose (19 each); and Tanenbaum Keale (18).
