Lindabury Welcomes New Partner Rachel Nudel
Lindabury, McCormick, Estabrook & Cooper announced that Rachel Nudel joined as a partner in the insurance and litigation practices. She has 14 years' litigation experience and will defend individuals and corporations in general liability matters, the firm said. She was previously with Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker , and before that, New York firms D'Amato & Lynch and Kanterman, O'Leary & Soscia . She received her J.D. from New York Law School in 2005 and her B.A. from Fordham University. In law school, she completed externships with a New York State Supreme Court justice and the Kings County District Attorney's Office. She is fluent in Russian and conversant in Spanish, the firm noted. David Pierce , president of Lindabury, said in a statement that Nudel "is a zealous, successful litigator with a proven track record, who keeps in line with our clients' goals." |
Lewis Brisbois Expands in Newark With Partner Hire
Lewis Brisbois added Jonathan M. Preziosi as a partner in Newark. The firm noted that he has more than 25 years of experience litigating construction contract disputes in airport, bridge, power plant, refinery, and waterfront redevelopment cases, among others. He handles complex title disputes, real estate tax appeals, suits to compel closing of contracts of sale, challenges to zoning and planning board land use decisions, and condemnation cases. Preziosi graduated from Washington and Lee University and Seton Hall University School of Law, where he was an editor of the Seton Hall Law Review. He is admitted in New Jersey and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. "Jon has a very impressive trial record," and "adds strength to the firm's rapidly growing and highly regarded commercial litigation practice, and other areas of expertise unique to Lewis Brisbois' New Jersey office," said Newark managing partner Colin P. Hackett in a statement. |
Javerbaum Wurgaft Welcomes Steven Harz to Hackensack
Steven B. Harz joined Javerbaum Wurgaft Hicks Kahn Wikstrom & Sinins as a partner in its Hackensack office. He represents clients in labor and employment law, such as employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, National Labor Relations Act, and wage and hour laws before federal and state courts and administrative agencies. Harz's clients range from large national and multinational manufacturing companies, to nonprofit, and for-profit institutions, to small entrepreneurial businesses, according to the firm's announcement. He received his B.S. from St. Peter's College, his M.A. from New York University and his J.D. from Widener University Law School. |
Victoria Flynn joins Hill Wallack as a Partner
Hill Wallack welcomed Victoria A. Flynn as a partner in Red Bank. She joined several practice groups: complex litigation, employment and labor law, administrative law/government contracts, regulatory and government affairs, school law and municipal law. Flynn previously was a partner at Gluck Walrath Flynn Martin and DeCotiis, FitzPatrick & Cole . She has represented public and private clients, in state and federal trial and appellate courts. She specializes in employment and labor matters, internal investigations, employer-employee disputes and employment litigation involving contracts, claims of discrimination, civil rights and whistleblowers. She is admitted in New Jersey and before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. She earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University Law School, cum laude, and graduated Rutgers College. She was the first law clerk to Justice Jaynee LaVecchia upon LaVecchia's appointment to the state Supreme Court, according to the firm's announcement. |
Riker Danzig Welcomes Associate Michael Aiello
Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti in Morristown brought on Michael Aiello as an associate in the insurance and reinsurance group. Aiello focuses on insurance coverage claims, including issues involving employment, environmental, general liability, mass tort, product liability, directors and officers, and professional liability claims, the firm said. He received his J.D. from Quinnipiac University in 2015 and his B.A. from the University of Connecticut in 2012. Prior to joining Riker Danzig, Aiello was an associate at Coughlin Duffy in Morristown. Aiello also has served as an adjunct professor of sports law at Long Island University–Brooklyn since 2015. |
Associate John Gormally Joins Goldberg Segalla in Princeton
Goldberg Segalla added associate John S. Gormally to the general liability group in Princeton. Gormally was previously with Inglesino, Webster, Wyciskala & Taylor in Parsippany. He focuses on complex civil litigation, contractual, and corporate matters, and has represented health-care companies, hedge funds, multinational corporations, international banks, global oil-and-gas companies, and a sovereign nation, the firm said. He has handled all stages of litigation. Gormally earned his bachelor's degree from Georgetown University and his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law. Following law school, he interned in the Ed Meese Center for Legal and Judicial Studies at the Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The suit was filed Sept. 7 in Wisconsin Western District Court by Levine Eisberner LLC and Siri & Glimstad on behalf of a project manager who claims that he was wrongfully terminated after applying for a religious exemption to the defendant's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
