Prezioso Joins Porzio Firm as Principal
Porzio, Bromberg & Newman Patricia M. Prezioso in Morristown as a principal on the employment and labor and litigation teams. Prezioso focuses on employment defense, white-collar criminal defense and environmental litigation. She counsels companies facing employee claims of discrimination, harassment, whistleblowing, retaliation, equal pay or FLSA, and government investigations. She also advises clients on in-house investigations, responding to government subpoenas, environmental claims, criminal allegations, and contract disputes. Prezioso previously served as chief of law enforcement services, deputy director and executive assistant to the attorney general for the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice. She was the lead prosecutor in State v. McGuire , a seven-week murder trial in New Jersey. She also served as an assistant district attorney at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, where she was a designated sex crimes and homicide assistant. In private practice, she has been with Nukk-Freeman & Cerra and McCusker, Anselmi, Rosen & Carvelli. She received her B.S. from the State University of New York at Albany, and her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. She is admitted in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. |
Tejada Joins Saul Ewing's Labor And Employment Practice as Partner in Newark
Anna María Tejada has joined Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr as a partner in the labor and employment practice in Newark. Tejada defends management in labor and employment litigation nationwide, and provides counseling and workplace training. She has more than 20 years' experience and advises clients on employee discipline; accommodations and leaves of absence; wage and hour; disability; harassment and discrimination; employee discharge and workforce reductions; whistleblower claims; and compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. She handles administrative proceedings, investigations and compliance audits. Tejada previously practiced at Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck . She earned her J.D. from Rutgers Law School-Newark and her B.A. from Rutgers University. She has served in leadership positions in various bar associations, including as the 34th president of the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey (HBA-NJ). She is the president-elect of Executive Women of New Jersey, vice president of programs for the Hispanic National Bar Association, and founder and chair of the HBA-NJ's American Dream Pipeline Program. |
Two Associates Join Meyner and Landis in Newark
Meyner and Landis welcomed Michael Bergman as an associate in Newark. He advises U.S. and multinational clients on a range of employment-based immigration matters covering government compliance, visa eligibility, corporate policy, and petition filing strategy. He represents clients in connection with non-immigrant and immigrant visa submissions, including complex responses to government inquiries, with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and the U.S. Department of Labor. Prior to joining Meyner and Landis he was an associate at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy . The firm also welcomed attorney Adam Levitsky as an associate in Newark. He handles civil litigation, including insurance coverage, commercial collections and foreclosures. He handles each stage of the litigation process. He has experience in numerous areas of civil litigation, including insurance coverage, construction negligence actions, land use disputes, uninsured and under-insured motorist cases, and insurance fraud actions, among others. Prior to joining Meyner and Landis, he was an associate at Methfessel & Werbel.
