Weber Gallagher Welcomes Partner Catherine De Angelis
Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby brought on partner Catherine De Angelis to the Bedminster office. She joins the general liability practice group and focuses on defense litigation, handling premises and automobile liability, construction defect, products liability, environmental, toxic tort, contract disputes, estate bonds, maritime, professional liability, property damage and collection and coverage actions in state and federal court at the trial and appellate levels. She received her J.D. from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center and her undergraduate degree from Seton Hall University. She is admitted in New Jersey and New York, and the U.S District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the District of New Jersey. Firm chair Andrew L. Indeck said in a statement said her addition " will deepen and strengthen our expanding general liability presence in the Mid-Atlantic region." |
Snyder Sarno Promotes Devinney to Partner
Snyder Sarno D'Aniello Maceri & da Costa in Roseland promoted Daniel B. Devinney to partner. He practices in the medical malpractice and personal injury divisions, and focuses on complex personal injury matters, including medical malpractice, products liability, mass torts, and catastrophic personal injury cases. He joined the firm in 2016 as an associate and in January 2018 was promoted to counsel. Devinney graduated from Cornell University in 2002 and from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2007. At Snyder Sarno, he has successfully litigated medical malpractice and personal injury matters, having obtained substantial verdicts and settlements, according to the firm. He previously practiced medical malpractice defense. He is licensed in New Jersey state and federal courts, and has experience arguing before the Appellate Division and state Supreme Court. |
Berkowitz, Lichtstein Elevates Iftode to Counsel
Berkowitz, Lichtstein, Kuritsky, Giasullo & Gross in Roseland has named Matt Iftode counsel to the firm. He was formerly an associate. Iftode concentrates his practice in tax, trust and estate planning, and corporate and business succession planning for individuals and business enterprises.
Norris McLaughlin Welcomes Ibrahim as Associate
Ameena Ibrahim joined Norris McLaughlin as an associate in the immigration law practice group. She assists individuals and corporate clients with visas, compliance, import/export matters, family immigration, deportation defense, criminal investigation, administrative agency immigration appeals, and federal immigration appeals. Ibrahim previously was a public service fellow with the Health Initiatives Department of Community Society Services New York, where she was a primary case handler. Ibrahim received her LL.M. from Brooklyn Law School, Master of Laws, in 2018. She received her B.A. and B.L., with honors, from Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, School of Excellence in Law in 2011, where she won the United Nations High Commissioner of Refugees National Moot Court and the best written arguments award. Ibrahim is admitted to practice law in India, where she has represented clients in consumer courts and in the high court on civil litigation matters. "We are very excited to add Ameena to the team and I can't wait to see what she is capable of," said Raymond G. Lahoud, chair of the firm's immigration law practice group, in a statement. Riker Danzig Welcomes Associate Magrane
Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti in Morristown brought on Robert J. Magrane as an associate in the securities litigation, arbitration, regulation and investigations group. He represents broker-dealers and registered representatives in sales practice arbitrations, employment disputes, and regulatory enforcement defense. He also has handled complex commercial litigation for clients in the real estate, information-technology and construction industries. His experience includes litigating partnership disputes, breach of fiduciary duty claims, and counseling clients with respect to shareholder and corporate governance matters. Magrane received his J.D. from New York Law School in 2013. He graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in 2009 with a B.A. in economics and government.
