Giordano Halleran Donates to Benefit Survivors
For the sixth year, Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla in Red Bank has fulfilled the holiday wish lists of Monmouth County domestic and sexual violence survivors and their families, donating more than 125 gifts to 16 families with children ranging in age from 1 to 14, through nonprofit 180 Turning Lives Around Inc. of Hazlet, according to a firm release. Gifts included a bicycle and helmet, toys, art supplies, Amazon gift cards, gift cards for movies and haircuts, dolls, and clothing. "180 Turning Lives Around has told us that for some families, these are their only gifts for the holidays," said firm shareholder Melissa V. Skrocki , who co-chairs the Giving Tree project with her co-worker, Margie Nimbley . 180 Turning Lives Around helps survivors and their families find the strength to recover from abusive situations through 24/7 hotlines, individual and group counseling, legal advocacy, emergency shelter and transitional housing. |
Kahn Elected Partners for Women and Justice Trustee
Eric G. Kahn of Javerbaum Wurgaft Hicks Kahn Wikstrom & Sinins in Springfield was recently elected a trustee of Partners for Women and Justice , a nonprofit organization with offices in Bloomfield that provides free legal assistance to low-income victims and survivors of domestic violence. Kahn is the managing partner of Javerbaum Wurgaft, supervising more than 60 attorneys. He is also past president of the New Jersey Association for Justice and the current president of the North Jersey chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
Flaster Greenberg's Judge to Headline Spill Act Panel
