The February 19, 2020, submissions deadline is approaching for the Law Journal's Professional Excellence recognitions.

Please click here to learn about the various categories—including Attorney of the Year, Lifetime Achievement, Litigation Departments of the Year, and, for the first time, Law Firm of the Year—and to view special instructions.

New for this year: Our recognition of in-house attorneys is now in a single category: In-House Impact. We're accepting nominations for individual in-house attorneys at any level, up to and including GCs and CLOs, and groups of all types, up to and including full law departments.

Also new for this year: Our Innovators honor, recognizing those helping to push the practice and business of law forward. Keep in mind: Innovation means much more than technology.

Finally, for the first time in 2020, we'll be naming a Law Firm of the Year at our Professional Excellence event, to recognize overall excellence across all categories. Law firms that enter at least these categories—New Leaders of the Bar, Lifetime Achievement and/or Mentors, and Litigation Departments and/or Dealmakers of the Year—will be considered, though submitting to all applicable categories is encouraged, and will be taken into consideration.

If you have any questions, please contact Recognition Events Desk Manager, Pearl Wu, at [email protected].

We look forward to learning about extraordinary attorneys and their great accomplishments over the past year, and to our Professional Excellence event slated for June 2020.
