The New Jersey Law Journal has garnered four honors in the New Jersey Press Association's Better Newspaper Contest, in recognition of its work covering technology, business-of-law, court administration and employment law topics in 2019.

The Law Journal's honors came in these categories, in the weekly newspaper contest:

The Law Journal has achieved numerous successes in the NJPA's annual contest in recent years, including taking home a general excellence award in 2018 as a result of its wins in multiple categories: two first-place, four second-place and two third-place honors. The first-place honors came in business and economic writing and enterprise writing.

Last year, the Law Journal brought home three first-place honors and one second-place honor. Among the first-place honors was the Lloyd P. Burns Memorial Award for public service journalism, for the Law Journal's coverage of diversity and inclusion efforts in the legal industry.

In addition to public service, enterprise, business, interpretive, special subject and investigative work, the Law Journal in recent years also has received honors in NJPA categories recognizing the coverage of crime, police and courts, and government.
