The New Jersey Law Journal has garnered four honors in the New Jersey Press Association’s Better Newspaper Contest, in recognition of its work covering technology, business-of-law, court administration and employment law topics in 2019.
The Law Journal’s honors came in these categories, in the weekly newspaper contest:

- “Sexual Harassment Settlements Cost New Jersey Judiciary $1M Since 2014,” by Charles Toutant — Second Place, First Amendment Award (Responsible Journalism)
- “How the ‘Borgata Babes’ Case Has Helped Define Employee Appearance Standards,” by Suzette Parmley — Second Place, Special Subject Writing
- Coverage of Budd Larner, by David Gialanella and Christine Simmons — Third Place, Investigative Report (“More Departures Hit Budd Larner” … “ Budd Larner Expected to Close” … “ Budd Larner Announces July Closure“).
