On Thursday Florio Perrucci Steinhardt & Cappelli officially becomes Florio Perrucci Steinhardt Cappelli Tipton & Taylor after adding longtime managing partner Brian Tipton and litigation practice chief Lester Taylor as name partners.

The name change is "a nod to the firm's history"—it was formed by former New Jersey Gov. James Florio—while "recognizing its maturity, growth and vision for the future," according to partner Michael Perrucci's statement from a firm release on Wednesday.

"When [Florio] and I started our firm, we had a vision of creating a unique and special law firm," Perrucci said in the release, noting that Tipton and Taylor "exemplify our values and commitment to our clients."
