Sills Cummis Welcomes Scorese as Partner
Sills Cummis & Gross in Newark added Joseph P. Scorese as a partner in the tax, trusts and estates practice. He handles complex estate planning, and estate and trust administration, for high-net worth individuals and families in the New York and New Jersey area, using sophisticated wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, charitable remainder trusts and charitable lead trusts, family limited partnerships and limited liability companies, qualified personal residence trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts and intentionally defective grantor trusts. He engages with fiduciaries and beneficiaries to help minimize the bite of taxation, the firm said. Scorese received his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law and his B.A. from Trinity College. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.
|Former Moorestown Mayor Chiacchio Joins Flaster Greenberg
Christopher Chiacchio, former mayor of Moorestown, joined Flaster Greenberg as a partner in the corporate and real estate and land use departments in Cherry Hill. He previously served as managing partner of Subranni Zauber in Marlton. He chaired Moorestown's Economic Development Advisory Committee and sat on the township's planning board. He also sat on the planning and zoning boards of Cinnaminson Township. In a statement, he cited Flaster Greenberg's "strong reputation in the area and bench strength across its practices" as providing "an exciting opportunity to continue my land use and corporate practice with an emphasis on the manufacturing industry." Chiacchio received his B.A. from Rutgers University and his J.D. from Delaware Law School. He clerked for Superior Court Judge Robert W. Page.
|Mandelbaum Salsburg Welcomes Two
Mandelbaum Salsburg brought on Jordan Solomon as a partner in the health-care practice and Boris Peyzner as counsel in the commercial and corporate litigation practice. Both practice in the Roseland office. Firm chairman Barry Mandelbaum said in a statement: "Jordan is a pragmatic and creative dealmaker who adds depth and guidance to our expanding health-care practice. Boris is known as a litigator who quickly assesses issues in a case and works towards a swift resolution."
Solomon, according to the firm, has more than 25 years' experience counseling business clients on forming, buying, selling, merging and divesting businesses, including health-care facilities,
medical practices, dental practices and veterinary practices. He has advised health-care professionals on mergers and acquisitions, purchasing, leasing and financing of commercial real estate, employment agreements and commercial contracts. He received his bachelor's degree from Franklin & Marshall College and his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he served as an editor of the Cardozo Law Review. He is admitted in New York and New Jersey.
Peyzner handles complex negotiations, litigation and transactions, handling state court matters at the trial and appellate levels, the firm said. He received his bachelor's degree from Rutgers University and his J.D. from Temple University, Beasley School of Law, where he served as an editor on the Temple Journal of Science Technology, and Environmental Law. He is admitted in New York, New Jersey, the U.S. district courts for the District of New Jersey and Southern District of New York, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
|Kaufman Dolowich Promotes Griep
Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck announced that Seth D. Griep was elevated to of counsel in Hackernsack. Griep joined the firm in 2017 as an associate and focuses his practice in professional liability, insurance bad faith, construction defect liability, premises liability and automobile liability claims, the firm said in an announcement.
