Loesch Appointed to LMA Board
The Legal Marketing Association announced that Amanda Loesch, chief marketing officer at Porzio, Bromberg & Newman in Morristown, was appointed member-at-large of the 2020 board of directors as of Jan. 1. Loesch leads business development, marketing and communications functions for the law firm and its three subsidiary companies. She previously held leadership positions at two Am Law 100 firms, and began her career in marketing at JPMorganChase, where she completed the bank's Executive Leadership Development Program, the announcement noted. She holds an M.B.A. from Fordham Gabelli School of Business and an undergraduate degree from New York University. She is a frequent speaker at industry events and active with LMA leadership. "I am honored to serve on the 2020 LMA Board of Directors. I'm grateful to Porzio for supporting me in this leadership role and I look forward to the opportunity to continue to help guide the association's important work," said Loesch in a statement issued by Porzio. The association represents 4,000 legal marketing and business development professionals in 48 states, Canada and 25 other countries, the release noted.
|Norris McLaughlin Earns Meritas Recertification
Norris McLaughlin recently been awarded recertification in Meritas, a global alliance of independent business law firms. Norris McLaughlin, based in Bridgewater, joined Meritas in 1991 and, as a condition of its membership, is required to successfully complete recertification every three years, the firm's announcement noted. Steven A. Karg , a partner at Norris McLaughlin and its Meritas member contact, said in a statement by the firm: "Meritas' Quality Assurance Program is not just valuable for our clients seeking legal expertise around the world; it also provides us with a framework to consistently monitor and enhance the quality of our services." Meritas membership is invitation-only and it monitors the quality of its member firms in order to save clients time validating law firm credentials and experience, the announcement said. Firms are regularly assessed and recertified for the breadth of their practice expertise and client satisfaction, the announcement added: Firm performance and quality feedback are reflected in a satisfaction Index score, which is made available online.
