Heather Darling Joins Florio Perrucci
Reed Smith announced that Kiran Somashekara rejoined the firm as a partner in the financial industry group in Princeton. Somshekara joins from McGuireWoods, where he was a partner. He was counsel at Reed Smith from 2014 to 2016. Somashekara, fellow former McGuireWoods partner John Lukanski, and Thao Ngo and Jeff Silberman form the foundation for Reed Smith's broker-dealer and investment adviser practice, the firm's announcement noted. Somashekara represents financial institutions and registered professionals nationwide in regulatory investigations and enforcement actions. He earned his J.D. from the George Washington University Law School in 2003 and his B.A. in 1999 from Rutgers University.

Mandelbaum Salsburg in Roseland has added environmental lawyer Jeffrey W. Cappola, who handles complex brownfield and landfill redevelopment projects, land use issues, and environmental compliance and permitting, and helping steel and chemical manufacturers comply with federal and state environmental laws. He was previously a partner at Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer. In his real estate development practice, Cappola advises clients on property due diligence, acquisitions and sales, financing, permitting, liability protection, environmental insurance, and other matters. He also works with state and federal agencies on land use permitting.

Sandy L. Galcio Jr. joined Windels Marx Lane & Mittendorf in New Brunswick as a special counsel, concentrating on commercial, insurance and land use litigation and appeals. He represents clients in real estate tax matters, redevelopment, affordable housing and land use applications. He also represents municipal clients and litigates environmental matters. Galcio graduated from West Point Military Academy in 1988 and Seton Hall University School of Law in 2001.
