For the first time in its history, the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) will hold its 2020 Annual Meeting as a virtual conference. The event will be held May 13–15.

Although the state's premiere legal gathering is being held on its original dates, it won't take place in Atlantic City in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Still, attendees can look forward to a dynamic, interactive online event with top-notch panelists participating in a wide array of continuing legal education programs that cover topical subjects and provide insights and practical knowledge on some of the latest legal developments.

Seminars will cover areas of law that include family, criminal, real property, municipal court, diversity and inclusion, presidential initiatives, and more. As always, attendees can earn up to 16 continuing legal education credits over the three days.

Through the use of technology, attendees will be able to network and connect with colleagues from around the state at daily virtual happy hours, and even visit a virtual exhibit hall to learn about vendors' services and products.

The Annual Meeting wouldn't be complete without the swearing in of 2020–2021 NJSBA President-Elect Kimberly A. Yonta, the entire Executive Committee and the newest members of the Board of Trustees during a special live-streamed event that everyone can attend. Yonta will share her insights, her goals for the year ahead and her message of perseverance and hope for the future for a united legal community.

The 2020 Annual Meeting will be one to remember, and the NJSBA staff has been working around the clock on the technological logistics and seminar planning to ensure that attendees have an exceptional experience.
