With face-to-face meetings still prohibited at many firms and working from home still the norm because of the pandemic, the New Jersey State Bar Association's (NJSBA) PracticeHQ provides tools to help attorneys hold meetings with clients, co-workers and colleagues over the internet.

PracticeHQ, a NJSBA member benefit, provides a useful comparison chart to help attorneys review features and chose the right online meeting provider. Once a service provider is selected, attorneys can schedule a meeting, invite participants and provide participants with a link that will connect them to the meeting.

Trying to have a virtual office and reduce overhead costs? Web meetings will be a critical component in the transition. Want to hire an associate who lives down state but not sure how to conduct the interview? Attorneys can arrange web meetings. They can even use web meetings with colleagues who are working a few doors down the hall in order to maintain social distancing as offices reopen.

Online meetings can be easier to schedule, save time on travel, and even provide additional options, such as recording. If seeing a face during a meeting is important, look for service providers that offer integration with a computer web cam.
