Javerbaum Wurgaft Hicks Kahn Wikstrom & Sinins announced that James E. Burden and Peter M. Draper have joined the firm's employment law group in its Voorhees office.

James E. Burden, of counsel, is a civil trial lawyer with more than 25 years of experience focused on employment law. According to the firm, he litigates in New Jersey's state and federal trial courts, as well as the New Jersey Appellate Division, and has several reported decisions in the area of employment law including: Nardello v. Township of Vorhees; Warner/Hancock v. Oaklyn; Gerety v. A.C. Hilton; Owens v. Feign; and Herman v. Coastal Corp. He has served on the board of the National Employment Lawyers Association-New Jersey (NELA-NJ), an organization of trial lawyers dedicated to defending the rights of New Jersey employees, and has also argued as amicus for NELA-NJ in Calabotta v. Phibro Animal Health Corp. Burden obtained his B.A. from Muhlenberg College and his J.D. from New York Law School. He is admitted in the state and federal courts in New Jersey and New York.

Javerbaum Wurgaft Adds Two Attorneys Peter M. Draper

Peter M. Draper, who joined as an associate, has nearly 10 years' experience in civil litigation, including employment law and personal injury. He has represented plaintiffs in pregnancy discrimination, sexual orientation discrimination, disability discrimination, sexual harassment claims, whistle-blower actions, and wage and hour violations. Draper also has successfully represented injured clients who sustained severe and permanent personal injury as a result of motor vehicle, fall-down accidents, and dog-bite incidents, and negotiated favorable settlements on their behalf, the firm said. He also has defense background in employment and personal injury claims. Draper earned his B.A. from Georgian Court University in 2008, and in 2012 graduated from Widener University School of Law, where he served as a vice president of the Moot Court Honor Society, and was awarded the Order of the Barrister's Award for excellence in courtroom advocacy.
