The family of a man killed when an out-of-control tractor-trailer overturned onto his vehicle settled its Middlesex Count suit, Estate of Claussen v. Sakoutis Brothers Disposal Inc., on June 16.

According to counsel, court documents and news reports, on May 31, 2017, plaintiff, Brian O. Claussen, 27, was merging from New Jersey Route 440 onto U.S. Route 9 South in Keasbey, sitting in traffic along an underpass, when the tractor-trailer owned by Sakoutis Brothers Disposal and driven by company employee Michael C. Teitelbaum approached from behind. The truck drove up an embankment on the side of the roadway and overturned onto two vehicles, including Claussen’s.
