Recently retired New Jersey Supreme Court Associate Justice Walter F. Timpone has joined Newark-based Calcagni & Kanefsky as senior counsel, marking a return to private practice for the veteran trial attorney after four and a half years on the high court.
The firm made the announcement Tuesday in a release. Timpone, who stepped down from the bench Aug. 31 as he approaches the mandatory retirement age of 70 for New Jersey judges—he turns that age Nov. 10—said he plans to start full time at his new role next month.
