Matt Platkin, chief counsel to Gov. Phil Murphy for the last three years and one of the governor’s chief advisers, will depart the administration next month to join Lowenstein Sandler as a partner in the firm’s white collar and business litigation groups.

Lowenstein Sandler made the announcement of Platkin’s arrival in a release early Thursday, following an announcement from the Governor’s Office from the previous night that Platkin would be departing as chief counsel.
