The Democratic-controlled New Jersey Senate and Assembly approved a $32.7 billion spending plan for fiscal year 2020-21 on Thursday that outlines fellow Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy’s spending priorities for the next nine months amid an ongoing public health crisis.

In fact, the governor last month warned of a possible “second wave” of coronavirus infections and another statewide lockdown during his budget address at Rutgers University’s SHI Stadium in Piscataway, where he delivered a streamlined $32.4 billion fiscal year budget.
