A motorist who claimed that spinal injuries sustained in a rear-end crash forced him to change jobs because of physical limitations was paid a $1 million settlement on Sept. 7 in his Bergen County suit, Lahu v. Raghubans.

Plaintiff Gjon Lahu, then 33, was driving on Fair Lawn Avenue in downtown Fair Lawn on Sept. 6, 2017, and was stopped, allowing a pedestrian to cross the street, when he was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by defendant Lisa A. Raghubans, according to Lahu’s attorney, Mark McBratney of Siegel Law in Ridgewood.
