The state Supreme Court issued an order Thursday outlining a plan for statewide resumption and expansion of grand jury proceedings, which have been suspended, with some exceptions, since March 16.

The order comes a week after the first jury trial to resume in New Jersey amid the coronavirus crisis was ordered stopped by the Appellate Division, which agreed to take up a challenge to the jury selection process in that case.
