A New Jersey appeals court has upheld the expungement of a former municipal judge's arrest on a charge of falsifying records.
Richard Thompson, who was a judge in nine municipalities, entered pretrial intervention after pleading guilty in connection with a scheme to divert traffic ticket revenue to municipalities. The Supreme Court disbarred him in January for his role in the revenue diversion scheme.
