Long hampered by lack of money and legislative support and once vetoed by the governor, a bill to outfit New Jersey police with body cameras is heading back to Gov. Phil Murphy.
The Senate on Monday unanimously approved a measure mandating New Jersey police officers to wear body cameras while on duty. Amendments to the appropriation bill to pay for the cameras was also approved and that bill will be voted on Nov. 23.
