In this year unlike any other, our people and institutions have faced extraordinary challenges. The ways in which we work and live have changed suddenly and dramatically. Our legislature has faced simultaneous crises in public health, state funding and the administration of public safety. Our state and federal courts, under the leadership of Chief Justice Stuart Rabner and Chief Judge Freda Wolfson, have had to pivot to largely virtual proceedings, balancing the need for timely resolution of disputes and safeguarding the health of judges, lawyers, litigants and jurors.

But yet we persevere. Our institutions continue. Our New Jersey leaders in government and the judiciary have stepped up to the challenge. And in this week of Thanksgiving, as lawyers in New Jersey, we find much for which to be thankful.
