Disrupted trial schedules since COVID-19 have sent the level of backlogged cases in New Jersey's trial courts soaring to more than double what it was when the pandemic began.
Litigants are waiting longer to see their cases resolved as a result of the backlogs, and the delays are making representation more complex for lawyers.
