The Biden administration on Monday announced 21 additional new hires at the White House counsel's office, including Justin Dews of New Jersey.

The Biden administration on Monday announced 21 additional new hires at the White House counsel's office, including a onetime legal adviser to New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy, as well as five former U.S. Supreme Court clerks who worked for Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Elena Kagan.
"My administration has no greater task than restoring faith in American government. Our White House Counsel's Office will be built upon a foundation of integrity and honesty," Biden said in a statement. "This qualified and crisis-tested legal team will ensure that this administration is accountable and always operates in service of the American people."
Among the hires is Justin Dews, deputy associate counsel. Dews, a former litigation associate at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton, clerked for Judge Joseph Greenaway Jr. on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He is currently serving in the general counsel's office on the Biden-Harris transition team. Earlier, he was senior counsel to New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy.
