Florio Perrucci Welcomes Associate Colleen Degnan
Florio Perrucci Steinhardt Cappelli Tipton & Taylor welcomed Colleen M. Degnan as an associate in the Cherry Hill office. Degnan focuses on health care law, education law and civil litigation. She previously clerked for Camden County Superior Court Judge Donald J. Stein in the Civil Part, where she worked on matters involving medical malpractice, personal injury, contract disputes, and employment law. Degnan also served as a court-appointed mediator for small claims and landlord-tenant matters. While attending Widener University Delaware Law School, Degnan served as a judicial extern to Judge Jack A. Panella of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania. She also interned for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey's Government Programs Division, as well as the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office in Norristown, Pennsylvania. Norris McLaughlin brought on business law senior counsel Laura M. Miller and litigation associate James V. Mazewski to its Bridgewater office. "Their individual expertise will allow Norris McLaughlin to bolster two critical practice areas, and Laura, in particular, helps us execute our long-range goal of succession planning," said David C. Roberts, firm recruiting partner and co-chair of the litigation practice group, in a statement.
Miller focuses on administrative and government regulatory law in the public utility, telecommunications, cable television, and communications infrastructure industries. Miller, according to the firm, has more than a decade of experience in complex civil litigation, representing private and public clients in state and federal courts in cases involving commercial and corporate disputes, and the defense of labor and employment claims. She previously was active in political fundraising and campaign management in Arizona, serving as the field director for a statewide political campaign and later as the director of public policy in the Arizona Attorney General's Office. She earned her J.D. in 2005 from Rutgers Law School-Newark, where she was a senior staff member of the Conflict Resolution Law Journal, and her B.A. in 2002 from Arizona State University. Mazewski concentrates on civil litigation at the trial and appellate levels, primarily on the representation of corporations, public entities, and insurance companies in complex commercial disputes and employment, construction, and general liability matters. He has represented shipping companies and commercial entities, and various public entities in jurisdictional and contractual disputes before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Mazewski clerked for Appellate Division Judge Amy O'Connor. He earned his J.D. in 2016 from Rutgers Law School-Newark, where he interned with New Jersey Supreme Court Justice Anne M. Patterson and served as symposium editor of the Rutgers Law Review. He earned his M.S. in 2012 and his B.S. in 2010 from Montclair State University.Cohn Lifland Adds Larsen to Family Law Practice
