The New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) Nominating Committee will begin interviewing dozens of candidates this month who filed for leadership positions.

The positions include members of the NJSBA Executive Committee and trustee members who represent counties, sections, committees, the Young Lawyers Division and at-large positions, as well as delegates to the American Bar Association and Nominating Committee members.

Following the interviews and deliberations, which are confidential, the committee will issue a report to the NJSBA's Board of Trustees proposing a slate of candidates. The board will vote on the committee's recommendations. If a board member contests a candidate, the NJSBA membership will vote to determine the winner.

The candidates' completed questionnaires are available for review by members at njsba.com. Information about the process and the NJSBA's policies and procedures are also available on the website.
