New Jersey-based, midsize law firm Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer is now woman-led for the first time in its 100-year history after public finance attorney Lisa Gorab was unanimously elected by shareholders to serve as managing director and president.

“One hundred years ago they probably never would have imagined that there would be a woman running the firm as managing director, but I think the firm is excited about it,” Gorab said. “I think it represents who we are. We’re ever-changing and advancing while keeping the bedrock of our traditions.”
