On Feb. 25, Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath business litigation partner Tracey Salmon-Smith moderated a panel for the ABA Litigation Section roundtable: "Mediation: In the Land of Zoom." The panel consisted of independent mediator and retired Chief Judge Gerald Rosen of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. The program examined overall trends and conditions in virtual mediations, among other topics. Salmon-Smith, based in Florham Park, serves as a coordinator for the ABA Litigation Section's Leadership Development, and is a member of the Minority Trial Lawyer and Women Advocate committees. Her private practice focuses on assisting clients with commercial and business disputes, employment litigation, securities law and internal investigations.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.
