One of the most diverse nominee groups to come before the Senate Judiciary Committee, including Latinos, African Americans, one whose grandfather was a member of the Cherokee Nation, and a Filipino American, were unanimously confirmed for Superior Court judgeships Thursday.

Four of the 12 nominees were announced as the “Union County package” in late January by Gov. Phil Murphy: Rosalba Comas of Mountainside, Dara Govan of Plainfield, Paul Nieves of Garwood, and Daniel Roberts of Linden.
