Faegre Drinker Partner Speaks at National Bench-Bar Conference on Discovery Proportionality Michael Zogby

On March 25, Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath's products liability and mass-torts practice deputy leader Michael Zogby was a speaker at the "Discovery Proportionality Benefit-Burden Model Bench-Bar Conference," hosted by the James Humphrey Complex Litigation Center of the George Washington School of Law. The two-day conference was attended by more than 50 federal judges from across the United States, and by more than 100 plaintiffs and defense attorneys and academics, the firm said in an announcement. Zogby, a partner in the firm's Florham Park office, was a featured panelist on the "Deep Dive into New Framework: Prioritizing Custodians Possessing Relevant Information" panel. Other panelists included Professor Rick Marcus of Hastings Law School, Judge Iain Johnston of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and Judge Gary Jones, U.S. magistrate judge for the Northern District of Florida. The speakers discussed eDiscovery from plaintiffs and defense counsel perspectives, and examined a work-in-progress discovery proportionality benefit-burden model, developed under the center's auspices by teams of lawyers and judges.
