A products liability lawsuit against drugmaker Merck & Co. Inc. was filed on behalf of a 22-year-old woman who took the human papillomavirus, or HPV, vaccine as a teenager and then experienced a host of serious health issues, including daily seizures, convulsions and vision loss.

Attorneys for plaintiff Korrine Herlth said they believe attorneys specializing in products liability and personal injury cases will be paying special interest to the lawsuit, filed March 30 in Connecticut federal court, and seven others filed against the company since the fall of 2020.
