For those among our readers who follow the editorials we publish, you are aware that we deal with a variety of subjects of interest to the bench and bar. These subjects are initiated from a number of sources including our personal professional experiences, reported case law, and publicly available media. We would love to see more input from our readers.

In past years, the Law Journal more regularly devoted space to "Letters to the Editor," where our readers expressed either their discontent, often about particular positions we took in our editorials, or to expose some "injustice" they experienced in the practice. Sometimes the letters were vehicles to reward some person or experience worthy of praise. We are aware that the Law Journal does have an admirable history of publishing scholarly articles submitted by readers. However, other than the Law Journal, we know of no means by which members of the New Jersey legal community can disseminate opinions of general interest to the community itself.

The Editorial Board is independent of the Journal's editorial staff, but on this point we agree. We both hope to breathe new life into "Letters to the Editor." Please fill this space. Editor David Gialanella and Law Editor Juliette Gillespie, reachable at [email protected] and [email protected], will review and exercise discretion in choosing letters most worthy of being published.
