Shereen Chen Gray Joins 'PAWS for People' Board

Marlton Attorney Appointed to Board of 'PAWS for People' Shereen C. Chen Gray

PAWS (Pre-Assisted Visitation Volunteer Services) for People has appointed Shereen C. Chen Gray of Chen Gray Law Group in Marlton to its board of directors for a three-year term. "I am honored to be asked to be part of this wonderful organization. To see how much people are helped by these therapeutic visits is wonderful and heart-warming," Chen said in a statement. Lynne Robinson, executive director of PAWS for People, added, "We are excited to have Shereen join the Board. She has been a volunteer for a while and always shows great commitment and enthusiasm for our organization and mission." The nonprofit organization provides therapeutic pet visits to members of the community. In her practice, Chen handles exclusively immigration and nationality law for clients including professional athletes, entertainers, religious leaders, high net-worth investors, health care employees, corporations, golf courses, resorts and nonprofit organizations.

Lester E. Taylor, a name partner at  Florio Perrucci Steinhardt Cappelli Tipton & Taylor, spoke at the WaterNow Alliance virtual summit, "Tap into Resilience," on April 6-8, 2021. This year's summit focused on accelerating sustainable water innovation to build safe, healthy and prosperous communities for everyone. Taylor participated on a panel, "Going Big on Resilience: The Mid-Atlantic Model for Regional Green Collaboration," on April 8. Other panelists included: Randy E. Hayman, an attorney and CEO/commissioner of the Philadelphia Water Department; Steve Tambini, executive director of the Delaware River Basin Commission; Nathan Boon, program officer of the William Penn Foundation; Howard Neukrug, executive director of the University of Pennsylvania Water Center; and Patty Elkis, director of planning of the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission. Speakers at the event covered local green stormwater programs, success in addressing equity and affordability challenges, the importance of strong local water champions, innovative financing, and philanthropy, among other topics. WaterNow Alliance is a forum for local water leaders who want to champion sustainable, affordable and climate resilient water strategies, according to a statement, which called the Delaware Basin "home to some of the nation's thorniest water challenges," such as "aging infrastructure, lead service lines, degraded rivers and ecosystems—all against a backdrop of multi-state, multi-agency jurisdictions."
