Ashley H. Buono left  Parker McCay to become Burlington County solicitor—the first woman to hold that position—as of  Jan. 27, 2021, when she was sworn in. She now serves as chief legal counsel to the county's board of commissioners and its departments, reviewing all county contracts and advising on regulatory, financial and transactional matters. Burlington County's sheriff, clerk, and other elected officials also have access to her counsel. Buono joined Parker McCay in 2018 and focused on government and construction law, handling bids and contracts, negotiation, and litigation derived from construction projects that included arbitration, mediation, trial and appeals. She earned her law degree at Widener University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh. "As a woman in the male-dominated field of construction law, Ashley has been breaking barriers throughout her career with determination and hard work. It's no surprise to see her grow and evolve in her career to become the first female to hold the prestigious role of Burlington County Solicitor," said Parker McCay CEO Philip Norcross in a statement by the firm. "We are proud of her achievement and wish her all the best in her new position."
