Afshan Ajmiri Giner, a partner in  Florio Perrucci Steinhardt Cappelli Tipton & Taylor's New Providence office, was named co-chair of the firm's education law group. The practice's other co-chair is  Christine Soto. Ajmiri Giner focuses on education and school law, labor and employment, and representation of local governments and public entities. Before joining the firm in 2019, Ajmiri Giner worked at the New Jersey Department of Education. She is a former law clerk to Hudson County Superior Court Judge Lourdes I. Santiago. She is an alumni-mentor to current law students at Rutgers Law School, and an attorney mentor for NJLEEP's constitutional law and debate program in Newark and the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey's pipeline program in Union City. She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association's School Law Committee; the New Jersey School Boards Association; the HBA-NJ; and the Asian Pacific American Lawyers Association of New Jersey. She received her J.D. from Rutgers Law School–Newark and her B.A. from Brown University.  Lester Taylor, chairman of the firm's education law group, said in a statement that Ajmiri Giner "has proven to be an invaluable member of our education law team. As our group continues to grow into one of New Jersey's largest and most diverse school law practices, we need to build the infrastructure to service our expanding client base." Managing partner  Brian Tipton added that her "work ethic, client focus, and legal skills made the decision to promote her to co-chair of our education law group an easy one."
