BASF, Amarin Pharma and other defendants were hit with an antitrust class action Wednesday in New Jersey District Court. The suit accuses the defendants of blocking the supply of a key ingredient in order to delay generic competition to its branded Vascepa treatment. The complaint was field by Carella Byrne Cecchi Olstein Brody & Agnello; Glancy Prongay & Murray; Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check; and other law firms. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 2:21-cv-12061, Uniformed Fire Officers Association Family Protection Plan Local 854 et al v. Amarin Pharma, Inc. et al.
