For Victor Afanador, assisting clients with navigating the challenges of COVID-19 served as a reminder of how lawyers provide stability in a crisis. Helping clients through the uncertainty of the pandemic reiterated the role lawyers play in providing structure and organization in society, Afanador says.

Earlier this year, Afanador became a name partner at the venerable Newark firm where he has practiced for 19 years, now known as Lite DePalma Greenberg & Afanador. As diversity chair for the 14-lawyer litigation boutique, Afanador has been steadfast in maintaining the firm’s commitment to diversity, with women and minorities representing 50% of the partnership and 55% of all attorneys at Lite DePalma.
